Preguntas, personas!

Hi, everyone. Since I have had enough of writing about love, love, love all the way through so I'm going to answer all of the questions given on my Askfm site and randoms from the web. I'd prefer to answer them here as this is the least I could post on my blog. (Or my blog will noticeably decays)
Who knows, you'll get to know me well after you've finished reading.

Where do you usually go for shopping?
- The Curve, Mutiara Damansara & One Utama, Bandar Utama. Most probably because they're near my house. I'm not a shopaholic, anyway. I won't go from one boutique to another and shop like there's no tomorrow. I'd always go for random picks. If I think it's nice and affordable, I'd grab them home. I'll never exceed two items for a visit. I usually get only one per outing (Raya shopping is an exception la of course)

What brands are your make up?
- Oh there's a lot, honey. You have no idea

What is your height?
- 159cm, nope don't laugh.

Coffee, miss?
- Cosans Coffee is pretty nice but I'd always go for Starbucks.

Pizza or McDonald's?
-Pizza all the way. Pizza is life, pizza is love, pizza is everything.

Hi, Batrisyia. Are you a daddy's girl and mommy's?
- Hi, hmm. I cannot choose. When I feel like cuddling, papa is always the best. Mama is my bestfriend. Ahh it's hard to choose!

Are you a morning or a night person?
- Depends on my sleeping patterns. But.. I think I'm a night person. Well I am, indeed. It's not healthy and this is really something I should work on.

What's on your phone wallpaper?
- Ariana Grande.

If you were born as a man, who would you probably work on to date or what brands would you wear, what might be your biggest fear and what kind of revenge would you do on your current sex?
- Wow, this is really interesting! Man, girls' mood swings is really not a good idea and I thank God so much for fulling this world with a lot of men who are strong enough to deal with it (Because trust me, PMS hurts like hell, your waist is cracking up, your tummy is twisting up, your head is spinning and you just wanna kill everyone around!)
Brands, TOPMAN? I don't know.
Biggest fear, wife. I've got to admit, it's a big deal of a man to find a perfect wife as his life partner. Degree, Master, PHD won't guarantee you a wife material. I'll have to find a wife who would wake up and serve me breakfast, prepare my clothes before she drives off to the office, who would make me a cup of coffee when I got home after a long tiring day at work, who would be able to get along with my family without force. Women nowadays are trying so hard to be at men's level. They're obsessed, ambitious and they forgot that even in Islam, men are always a step ahead. The smarter the woman is, the busier they'll be. I don't know. I'm a woman and I can't deny being a good wife is hard. But you'll always have to bring out the best in you for your husband. I'm not sure if I'm a wife material and I'm terrified with the idea of it. But I guess, to be a good wife, you can't just practice the basics. There's always a way to show your appreciation towards your husband. Be different. But humble.
Kind of revenge? I don't really get this but I hope I'm answering your question in the way it should be. I'd dump every and each girl who would flirt with me even though they know I'm taken. I'd dump my own girlfriend if she cheats or easily attached to sweet talkers. I'd treat my girlfriend right and show the world I'm the only man who deserves a girlfriend. (Haha, jkjk)

What is your favourite colour?
- Once pink. But now I'd prefer Red because it is sexy. Black, because it's elegant.

What happened the last time you cried?
- Hahaha.

What would your parents be surprise to learn about you?
- I can be totally independent. I'm always a 6 years old Batrisyia to them. Always. My dad would still call my mom to check me out if I'm doing good when he's away. He always come home with "Kakak ada selsema? Demam ke?" and put his hand all over my body to see if I'm really okay and not getting any fever when he was not around.

What fictional character you have the biggest crush on?
- Bella Cullen from Twilight Breaking Dawn 2, only. She looked amazing after been transformed.

What habit are you most proudest of breaking?
- I stopped biting nails. I've just realized how disgusting I was back then.

Unlimited love or money?
- Love.

If you knew you would die in one week, what would you do?
- I'll spend my time with my parents, siblings and boyfriend. Of course, I'll repent and seek for His forgiveness / strength.

If you were a performing artist, what would you title your first album?
- Tongue. Don't ask why.

Do you believe in karma?
- I've got hit by the karma once so yes.

What cheesy song you have memorized?
- God Damn You're Beautiful by Chester See.

What is the nicest thing someone would say about you?
- I've got "You're a good listener" a lot and I still get flattered everytime.

Has a guy ever asked you to marry him?
- Hmm, I don't think so. By mean, I'm not sure how serious things can be.

What's your favourite sports car?
- I don't know much about cars. But I think McLaren.

Would you ever consider of putting your parents into an old age home?
- Hell no. I won't even do that to my aunties and uncles.

Do you like going for parties?
- No. Unless if someone I trusted is around. At least I have someone to protect me because I'm still young and there's a lot to discover. But seriously, I think my answer would still be no. I could not find a thing or two of why I should go for parties.

Did you ever have a crush on your bestfriend's boyfriend?
- Lol, no.

Something you wish you were better at?
- I want nothing in this life but to be nice to everyone. I just wish I was nice and matured enough to every one around me. The way I talk, I think, I act and dress.

Favourite lyric from a song
- "Just as long as I'm the name on your tattooed heart"

Is there anyone you haven't forgiven?
- Nope.

What do you think your BEST character is?
- Anyone who read this, answer for me?

Pancakes or waffles?
- Pancakes! I used to make them on my own and had them with maple syrups. It tasted really good but now I just get them from McDonald's. Mmm.. I love pancakes.

Do you have any phobias?
- Hm yeah.

Do you have a love of your life?
- Yes, I do.

When did you first fall in love?
- I was 18th.

Do you believe in love at first sight?
- Yes, I do. But it is ridiculous. Love at first sight means you fall for their looks. What makes you think he's a good person just because he's good looking? I fall for personalities. Background doesn't matters. Looks.. Umm my love of life is captivating to my eyes but I didn't love him because of that.

What was your first serious relationship?
- My previous relationship, which was.. a lesson.

Do you ever think about your previous lovers?
- Blergh.. In the name of Allah, why would I?

What lessons have you learned from your relationship?
- You need trust, understanding, healthy communication, loyalty and honesty.

Do you believe in God?
- Yes, I do. I have a great number of strong points to prove. He protects me and I swear I noticed.

When you meet God, what do you want to say to Him?
- "What did I do to deserve your protection and concern?"

Can you tell me about your illness?
- Scoliosis. It's not dangerous yet not something to be ignored as well. My mom just contacted her friend last night, about my physiotherapy. Since I decided not to go for surgery. Or else, it'll be risky for me to get pregnant. But I'm not sure when will the physio starts.

How do you imagine your death?
- I don't know. It's in His hand. But I wish I could die in the arms of someone I love. Blissfully, silence and painless.

Do you look your life differently now than before you were diagnosed?
- Yes. I need to be more careful and there's pretty much of activities that I could not join.

What was your relationship like?
- The one I'm holding on now? Amazing but rocky for god sake.

Tell me about him.
- He has the potential of being a great man in my life and I would not tell you why.

When in life when you felt most alone?
- It's for me to keep and for you to find out.

How has your life been different than you imagined?
- I thought I was going to be a doctor but I've lost my passion in medic.

Are there funny stories that your family tells about you that come to mind?
- My late grandpa. He told me that back when I was a kid, I was extremely naughty and he wished he could not have to bring me to walk outside alone unless my mom was around too. He was too tired to chase me around because I ran everywhere. I was lost for quite times and everytime he took me to the KFC or McDonald's, I usually ate under the table!
My dad told me that his company had an annual dinner back when I was 4, so he brought me and my mom. My lil bro was babysit by my aunty. While everyone was dining, they caught me swimming in the fountain with the fishes hahahaha I could not believe I would be that out of control.
My mom told me that it was hard to leave me at home even when she was only out for groceries or else I'll act up. I was glued and she had to bring me everywhere. So on a one fine day, we walked to the grocery store near our house (my mom didn't get the driving license yet) and as we arrived, my mom went to her section and I went to mine (I was 4) to get my chocolates. My mom told me there was a girl around my age approached me, maybe she wanted to say hi. I was too shy that I pull up and hid my face with my dress and.... then my mom realized that I didn't wear my diapers. So you know what happened.
There are so many stories about me but they are all humiliating haha.

How has being a parent changed you?
- What.. I'm not yet married.

Sis, can I know how do you learn English? Your English is good! What did you get for your English SPM? How was your papers? My SPM was sucks!!!!

- Alright there, hello! First of all, I need you to know that I'm not as good as you expected. I'm still learning and I'm not even close to be considered good. I do a lot of grammar mistakes. A lot, you would not able to list them up and neither can I. But I have always had a thing or two for English for this is my favourite subject in school. Alhamdulillah, I got A+ for my SPM and I really thought it was just me being lucky. Because as far as I can remember, I did pretty bad for my Continuous Writing (Paper 1, Section B). I had 20-25 minutes left before we submitted the paper and I still haven't started my essay. I was rumbled like hell. Because they wanted more than 350 words, the full marks was 50 marks and the time suggested was one hour!

I picked the most chosen essay: "Write a story that ends with..." (And this story, I dedicated to my classmate, 'A'. She was my classmate when we were in Form 3. I wrote about her. Everyone hated her. I've got to admit 'A' was really special and warm hearted. It's just, she's not a people person. She'd never blend in with anyone and she had no friends back then. I felt really sorry and I've tried to be her friend for sooo many times and I was a big failure. She hated everyone including me. Vice versa. But no I didn't hate her. I believe there's always a reason of why someone is acting weird. Whenever I felt like not going to recess, I'd asked her to go to the library with me. But she didn't respond and rolled her eyes on me. She never went to the canteen and she usually brought food from home. Wherever you are 'A', I hope you're doing fine and life is treating you good)

Back to the question! Hehe sorry I got thrilled. Remember, when you love something, nothing would stop you and nothing will ever come in between. So I chose the safest method I could ever do in life, I decided to wrote down all the ideas I had thoroughly on my mind, with good grammatical structures and just the two extra words, 352w.
As I got off the exam hall, I was sweating like no one else did and I had the most terrible mental breakdown. English was not supposed to be that hard!
I was thrown off into sparkles and my world was lighted up when I saw (A+) on the right side of my English SPM results on 20 March 2014 (It was only two days after I got back from PLKN and my skin was burned and damaged. Almost everyone in school was alarmed)

Now, here's a few tips that work pretty well on me. But I'm not sure if this helps. Just try it.

1. Read. Hands down. No excuse for this tip. R-e-a-d. You can improve your English by reading, you can gain general knowledge, you can learn new words and use them for your assignments and the list goes on. (Always bring a small dictionary with you)

2. Watch movies. This is just my logic so I respect any form of opinions that you'd lay on me later. Which is, watch Malay movies! But, never forget to include your English subtitles along. This is what I practice at home. I often get mocked "Ala, takkan tak faham bahasa sendiri kot? Perlu ke subtitles tu?"
Okay this is how it works. In order to learn English, you need to listen, read and talk. I suppose this is what they do at the college, don't they? So, how can you learn if your listening skill is too weak? But I believe your listening skill is undeniably fantastic on Bahasa Malaysia. Whatever their dialogs are, always refer to the subtitles. You'll learn new words or preferable kind of sentences from there.

"Saya tak sangka akan terjumpa awak dekat sini."
-It's so fancy to meet you here.

"Begitu juga saya."
-Ditto.

Someone asked me, "Batrisyia, why don't we just watch English movies with Malay subtitles?"
Like I said, listening skill. English is subjective. Too general. It can be divided by so many accents and we'll get really confused. British, American, Australian-
Example: Floor, flour, flower. Some accents pronounce these three almost the same! Sick, huh?

"Go get me some flour!"
-Saya nak tepung!

Yes, you read the subtitles. "Oh, tepung. Wait, how do they spell 'tepung'? Flour? Flower? Floor? Yang mana satu yang tepung ni? Sama je sebutan. Sigh."

But if you watch Malay movies.

"Saya nak tepung!"
-Go get me some flour!

"Oh.. Flour tu tepung." These tips are suitable for those who want to improve on their writing skills at school / college.

P/S: But don't get me wrong. English movies helps a lot too! Talking skills. There's no use of knowing how to spell but not knowing how to pronounce, right? Watching movies works both ways. Do it wisely. Depends on which one is more essential to you.

3. Communication. Speak English when you're texting your boyfriend, friends or whoever you're talking to. Help each others. Correct them when they're wrong and don't get offended when someone do the same on you.

4. Social sites. I bet you have your Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Tumblr accounts? Most of them are using English so learn through there. Use these sites wisely.

Is there anyone tells you that you look like any celebrity?
- Yes.

Till here, have a good day.
